Thailand murders

Is there anyone out there who have had a male relative murdered in Thailand. My son Richard was murdered in Krabi in March 2005. He had arrived there to take a diving holiday after finishing his contract on the new Bangkok airport. We have been waiting four and a half years for the Thai man would was convicted of Rich's deliberate murder to finally be sent to prison. In December 2006 we travelled to Krabi for the trial which was a terrible ordeal. After the verdict of 15 years reduced by half for his guilty plea. (He tried to claim self defence which in Thailand is not considered a crime.) He appealed as we did as I was a co prosecutor in the case, me to get a longer sentence. After two and a half years we had the appeal judgement on 18th July only to discover that on the 20th he had been granted bail again to appeal to the Supreme Court court something we are unable to do. So far he has only spent 4days in prison despite the fact that he was found guilty in 2006.What I would like is anyone who knows of any other family who' son, brother husband has also been murdered in Thailand to get in touch with their experiences and to see if there is any way of making people aware of the frustrations of trying to get justice in a country like Thailand. Thanks
